Philly Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Ultimo Coffee at Gunpoint

Much-loved South Philadelphia coffee shop Ultimo Coffee was robbed last week, with an unknown assailant holding a barista and at least one patron at gunpoint while taking their money and money from the register.

The Philadelphia Police Department has released this video, and is asking for help in identifying the man, who they describe as: “Black male, 20 years of age, 6’0″, thin build, beard, wearing dark grey hooded sweatshirt, gray North Face jacket, light blue coat:”

Aaron and Elizabeth Ultimo opened the neighborhood shop in 2009, and the pair is widely credited with helping elevate specialty coffee throughout the city.

Ultimo Coffee posted this request for assistance on Instagram today:
