In today’s Unpacking Coffee, Kandace and Ray explore Linea Caffe, the small San Francisco-based roastery and café created by one of specialty coffee’s most recognizable figures, Andrew Barnett.
A longtime barista competition circuit judge and trainer, Barnett launched Linea Caffe in 2013, after his Ecco Caffe was acquired by Intelligentsia. Although Linea sources the majority of its coffees directly, the company regularly buys from green coffee importer Red Fox Coffee Merchants. Red Fox’s Aleco Chigounis sat down with Ray, praising Barnett for his roasting style and discussing some of the company’s own sourcing adventures.
