Eight-year-old South Florida coffee roasting company Koffee Kult Coffee Roasters will have an opportunity to greatly expand its following with the coming NHL season after reaching an exclusive sponsorship deal with the Florida Panthers.

In a recent announcement of the sponsorship deal — financial terms of which have not been disclosed — the Hollywood, Florida-based roaster said it is the first time it has gotten into the major sponsorship game.

Sure, the deal will allow Koffee Kult to sell directly to Canadian tourists escaping to cold to sunny Miami to catch their beloved Canucks, Maple Leafs, Oilers, or whomever. But it will also allow Koffee Kult to attract guests on hand for other acts passing through the Panthers’ home venue, the BB&T Center — acts including Shakira, Def Leppard or Disney on Ice. Who wouldn’t want a wild barrel-aged Myanmar Ywangan or an complex Tanzania Peaberry with their Phil Collins concert?

“This amazing opportunity will introduce the Koffee Kult brand to more recruits for the quality coffee cause,” Koffee Kult Founder Jamie Mardis said in the announcement. “As a small local coffee roaster, it is a great opportunity to have the Florida Panthers open their doors to us and shows their dedication to South Florida and the small business community.”
