There’s a new resource for actors throughout the coffee world to explore information and resources towards developing climate resiliency and adaptation in the coffee sector.
The Alliance for Resilient Coffee (ARC), a consortium of six notable sustainability-minded NGOs in the coffee sector backed by funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Feed the Future initiative, has relaunched its website, offering a range of new tools and information.
The group initially made its public launch this past May, but the revamped website provides a richer set of resources, including more detailed profiles on projects underway towards climate resiliency in Honduras, Guatemala and Uganda; blog posts on climate news and profiles from the participating NGOs; a streamlined process for strategic partnerships; and more.

“It is essential to improve the livelihoods and resilience of coffee farmers and promote better environmental stewardship by having the private sector fully support and allocate resources to the implementation of climate-smart agriculture in coffee landscapes globally,” Stefan Ruge, ARC program manager on behalf of Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS), said in an announcement of the website launch.
HRNS is helping to lead the consortium, along with participation from a number of highly regarded NGOs in the coffee sector, including the Sustainable Food Lab, Conservation International, World Coffee Research, the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
