Texas-based wholesale coffee company Farmer Brothers Coffee is tweaking its executive leadership with two key vice president appointments.
Brian Miller, who most recently served as the vice president of customized apparel company Custom Ink, has been named vice president of sales.
Tom Bauer, who previously held the role of vice president and chief commercial officer at Farmer Brothers, will now serve as vice president and chief field operations officer, where he will lead the company’s direct-store-delivery (DSD), logistics, planning and procurement operations.
Farmer Brothers, which owns Oregon’s Boyd’s Coffee Company and West Coast Coffee Company, among other coffee and tea brands, serves more than 30,000 U.S. businesses through its business-to-business operations, according to the company. The Nasdaq-traded company reported fiscal Q1 2025 net sales of $85.1 million at its most recent earnings call.
According to Farmer Brothers, Miller will bring more than 25 years of experience in the consumer product industry to the VP of sales position. Miller previously served as the chief commercial officer at Primo Water (formerly DS Services and Standard Coffee), as well as the regional president and general manager at Mars Drinks North America.
“Brian is a proven leader with a long history of creating high-performing sales teams, particularly within the coffee and beverage industry,” Farmer Brothers CEO and President John Moore said in an announcement. “We are excited to have him join the team and look forward to working with him as we remain committed to driving top-line growth and further enhancing our customer base to create sustainable long-term profitability at Farmer Brothers.”
