Dutch green coffee importer Trabocca has announced plans to expand its client base in North America, hiring former V.P. of sales at Café Imports Timothy Chapdelaine as its managing director in the U.S.
In an announcement, the company praised Chapdelaine’s “years of experience in developing and importing top quality, award winning coffees to the finest roasters.”

The 11-year-old company runs sourcing projects in growing regions throughout the world, although much of its focus is in Eastern Africa and Ethiopia, where it maintains a sourcing office. Along with the hire of Chapdelaine, Trabocca says it hopes to expand its existing sourcing operations in the Central and South Americas.
“The ever-increasing demands by roasters on quality, service, details and involvement in sourcing inspire us to keep developing and facilitate in these needs,” says Trabocca managing director Menno Simons. “We are thrilled to have Timothy on board to help us in this next step.”
