One of the most inspiring things in being around the competition floor of the U.S. Coffee Championships is talking to the colleagues, close friends, mentors and mentees of the competitors. The nervous and sympathetic energy is contagious and palpable. It may not necessarily be “OMG, I’m going to puke” palpable, or at least onlookers and competitors alike are doing their best to conceal that sensation, maintain composure and play it cool.
People that closely involved likely resumed breathing freely as the results of yesterday’s Championships finals were announced during the final day of the SCA Expo in Seattle. But for the farther removed, we present below the final standings in full. Winners of these championships will move on to the World Coffee Championships, which, depending on the category, will be taking place in Budapest or Seoul later this year.
