High Density Coffee Conference Returns March 10 with 50 Speakers

High Density 2022

The second annual High Density online coffee conference is returning Thursday, March 10, with 50 speakers scheduled to appear.

The free-to-attend conference is produced by the coffee events group The Barista League, which says the full-day event will showcase some of the “brightest leaders and game-changing ideas in specialty coffee right now.”

The High Density program is being divided into five content sections, each of which has been led by a different content curator.

The list of international curators includes: Ana Luiza Pellicer of the Brazilian coffee farm/trader Mió (Brazil/UK); coffee roaster Marissa Childers (U.S.); Chris McAuley of Getchusomegear (U.S.); roaster and Coffee People Zine Founder Kat Melheim (U.S.); and Bean Voyage Co-Founder SungHee Tark (Costa Rica/South Korea).

Each of those curators have lined up groups of speakers for presentations on the following content themes: On the Farm; Behind the Bar; In the Community; On the Page; and For the Future.

In addition to the online program, the organizers are putting together a number of optional upgrade packages — such as green coffee samples or roasted coffees — plus a “Watch Party” package designed for larger groups.

While the 2022 event is free, registered guests will be asked if they wish to donate to the cervical cancer prevention nonprofit Grounds For Health. The inaugural High Density conference raised nearly $4,000 for the nonprofit.
