Australian coffee roaster and consultant David Rosa has released an eight-part instructional video series on setting up and running a coffee roastery.
Rosa, who acted as CEO and managing director of NSW-based coffee roasting company Bay Coffee for more than a decade before selling the business in 2016, said the video series can either be a standalone instructional series or can be used as a companion to his 2019 book, The Artisan Roaster.
With eight video chapters spanning 2 hours and 29 minutes, the video series is available through Vimeo for US$99.

In the series trailer, Rosa says the series covers a broad range of topics including equipment selection and leasing space, green coffee purchasing and quality control, roasting and blending, and marketing and business operations.
“The video series is an essential companion to the book,” said Rosa, who is also a partner in the food-and-beverage focused digital marketing agency The Active Ingredient. “I cover the key topics in greater detail and have guest presenters as well. I’m very proud of this video series and hope that it will add a further dimension to the book which has been very well received around the world.”
