Zurich, Switzerland-based coffee equipment conglomerate Hemro Group and batch brewing equipment specialist Fetco signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the Ditting brand in the United States, according to the companies.

An announcement from Hemro Group — which also owns coffee grinder brands Mahlkönig, Anfim and HeyCafé — said the deal is designed to enhance existing accessibility and support of Ditting grinders in the U.S.

Within the Hemro brand portfolio, Ditting grinders are positioned as a solution for businesses seeking durability and precision in high-volume coffee environments, such as coffee packing lines, supermarkets next to bulk whole bean hoppers, and next to batch brewers in busy cafes.

“At Fetco, we are committed to providing coffee professionals with the highest quality tools, and Ditting’s reputation for reliability and performance aligns perfectly with that mission,” Christopher Nowak, president and CEO of Lake Zurich, Illinois-based Fetco, said in an announcement from Hemro Group. “We’re excited to work together to set new standards in coffee excellence.”

For decades, Ditting grinders were distributed in the United States by a former entity called Ditting USA, the company founded by Albert Bezjian and co-operated by Michigan-based Nancy and Will Wideman. When Ditting USA closed upon Bezjian’s full retirement in 2021, Hemro Group announced that Kentucky-based Prima Coffee Equipment would be the Ditting-brand distribution partner.

As the exclusive U.S. distributor, Fetco now offers Ditting models alongside its own wide range of commercial coffee brewing, water heating, mixing and grinding equipment. The Chicago-area company is also the distributor of Brood nitro dispenser machines and HardTank brewing devices.
