Victoria Arduino Introduces Record, a New Take on Undercounter Espresso

Italian espresso machine brand Victoria Arduino has introduced Record, a commercial espresso machine that can sit fully on a cafe counter or be partially embedded below it.

Record’s group heads rise from a flat work surface, visually separating the upper brewing area from the boilers and other components below. Operators can place the full machine on the counter or cut into the counter so only the groups and wands rise above the surface, similar to undercounter systems from Modbar or Mavam.

“Record was conceived as a single, coherent platform capable of delivering two distinct installation experiences while preserving the same technology and design vision,” Alessandro Roberti, CMO of Victoria Arduino parent company Simonelli Group, told DCN. “It is Victoria Arduino’s unique interpretation of the undercounter category.”

The undercounter installation reduces the machine’s visual footprint, leaving more open space between baristas and customers. Inside the lower portion, a multi-boiler system controls water temperature for each group using Victoria Arduino’s NEO technology, short for New Engine Optimization, found in other machines such as the E1 Prima and the Eagle Tempo.

Record will not offer Victoria Arduino’s filter-style PureBrew capability. Instead, the machine focuses on temperature management, pre-infusion and other programmable extraction settings, with recipe controls available through a dedicated app.

“Connectivity is an essential component of the Record concept,” Roberti said. “The machine is designed to integrate digital tools for monitoring, programming and service. This includes remote access capabilities for diagnostics, updates and workflow optimization, supporting both baristas and technicians.”

Victoria Arduino first introduced the concept as Record120, a 120-machine limited edition marking the brand’s 120th anniversary at HostMilano in 2025. This summer, the company announced that Record will join its permanent lineup in 2027 as the first machine in a new category for the brand.

“Record is best understood as the foundation for a potential new direction,” Roberti said. “[It is] not a direct extension of either the Eagle One or Black Eagle Maverick families, but a new and unique platform that reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and our perspective on the future of undercounter espresso machines.”

Sales are expected to begin next year, when Victoria Arduino also plans to release pricing and aesthetic customization options.
