Registration is open for the 2027 National Coffee Association (NCA) Convention, taking place March 4-6 at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, Texas.
The U.S. coffee trade group expects approximately 800 industry professionals from throughout the coffee supply chain. The annual gathering is geared heavily toward business networking among executives and other decision-makers, alongside education on market, regulatory and consumer issues.
The preliminary program includes an early look at the spring 2027 National Coffee Data Trends (NCDT) report, an annual snapshot of U.S. coffee consumption produced by the NCA. General sessions will also include a U.S. economy and markets outlook and a keynote presentation, with speakers yet to be announced.
Workshops and breakout sessions are expected to address subjects including co-fermenting and flavored coffee, logistics, consumer trends, global markets and regulatory compliance. The program also includes tabletop exhibitors, receptions, networking breakfasts and coffee breaks, plus social events.
The NCA’s Coffee Gives Back programming will include a March 4 volunteer project benefiting the Austin community. An International Women’s Coffee Alliance breakfast is scheduled for March 5. That day will also feature the NCA Awards Luncheon.
Austin previously hosted the NCA Convention in 2020 and 2017.
The convention will arrive after another busy year for the growing U.S. coffee industry. Green coffee prices have remained historically high while swinging sharply, contributing to record retail coffee prices. Rising fuel, fertilizer and shipping costs have added pressure, while U.S. companies have also navigated tariff changes and refunds and emerging regulatory questions involving issues such as caffeine labeling and methylene chloride in coffee decaffeination.
Early-bird registration for the March show runs through Dec. 10. Rates are $1,040 for NCA members and $1,665 for nonmembers, with prices increasing beginning Dec. 11. The Coffee Gives Back Day of Service and IWCA breakfast require additional registration fees.
The 2027 event follows the 2026 NCA Convention in Tampa, which drew coffee professionals from across the roasting, trading, manufacturing and allied sectors.
Founded in 1911, the NCA says its member companies are responsible for approximately 90% of U.S. coffee commerce.
