A Tractor-Inspired Farmspresso Machine from the Espresso Parts Custom Shop

In and around a renovated warehouse outside Sydney, Australia, The Grounds of Alexandria is many things: vegetable farm; restaurant; bar; bakery; coffee roastery, training lab and science center; and event venue. All of these things surround the simple notion that one should intimately know one’s food — where and how it’s produced.

With this in mind, The Grounds team turned yet again to the Espresso Parts Custom Shop for its latest espresso machine. (The two companies have been working together since The Grounds opened in 2012.) The mod itself is of a three-group Synesso Cyncra.

Inspired by the Grounds’ farming operations and devotion to in-house produce, it is an incredible representation of farm-to-bar-top design. In short, it resembles a tractor, right down to the tractor gear shift steam levers and metal grill emblem:

“From the custom hand patinaed louvers to the shifter knob steam wands this Synesso Cyncra appears to have been created for hours of work in the field, but it was made for hours of work on the counter,” the EP team proudly announced today.

Hours of work were certainly put into the The Gounds’ Farmspresso machine, where two layers of powder coating formed the foundation for the by-hand detailing. Check this thing out:
