The Jacobs Coffee Company, a European brand operated by Kraft Foods, has broken its own world record for the world’s largest coffee cup mosaic.
On June 4, a team worked for six hours using 6,100-plus coffee cups — some filled with black coffee, some empty white, and some mixed with milk to create various brown and tan shades — to create a likeness of Israeli President Shimon Peres in Tel Aviv, Israel. Peres will be celebrating his 90th birthday in August.
The mosaic breaks Jacobs’ own Guiness world record, created with a mosaic bearing the likeness of Nelson Mandela last year:
