San Francisco-born roaster and retailer Sightglass Coffee has named former Starbucks national sales executive Sharon Healy as CEO.

Healy, who most recently held multiple sales executive positions with ready-to-eat meal delivery company Urban Remedy, assumed the position as early as December 2023, according to her LinkedIn profile.

In an announcement posted last week, Sightglass said that the company’s founders, brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison, “have stepped down from the business to pursue other endeavors.”

The financial terms surrounding the Morrisons’ departure and Healy’s appointment have not been made public.

After launching the company with a coffee cart in 2009, the Morrison brothers opened the company’s iconic roastery cafe location on 7th Street in San Francisco’s SoMa district in 2010. The Oregon natives subsequently opened additional locations in the Mission, on Divisadero, and in Los Angeles, all of which remain today.

“With her track record for creating new revenue streams and growing market share with major retailers in the food and beverage industry, Sharon is the right executive at the right time to lead Sightglass into its next phase of growth,” Linnea Roberts, the founder and CEO of GingerBread Capital and Sightglass Coffee board member said in the company statement.

According to Sightglass, Healy has spent more than 30 years in the food and beverage industries. She was with Starbucks for nearly a decade, leading the company’s U.S. relationship with foodservice giant Sodexo, among other duties.

“Sightglass is a special brand adored by those who cherish super-premium coffee,” Healy said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to introduce our brand to a wider audience and guide it toward its full potential.”
