An intensely local coffee shop has opened in North Portland, using coffees from only nearby micro roasteries, including Tananger and Intent.
Cathedral Coffee Shop celebrated a grand opening last month at 7530 North Willamette in St. Johns, serving the fresh roasted coffee and bakery items made on-site from scratch. The interior features a rotating artwork program, along with the kinds of hardwood floors, exposed brick elements and reclaimed wood surfaces one often looks for in a comfortable neighborhood shop.

A true “Portland” coffee place would serve only beans grown within a 10-mile radius of its front door. Shame on them.
