With competition season in full swing, the 2014 UK Barista Championship came and went this past weekend at the newly lifestyle-focused London Coffee Festival. Here we present to you the championship weekend in photos, all shot by London-based photographer Kate Beard.

Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood, Colonna & Small’s in Bath took home his second UK Barista Championship and will travel to Rimini, Italy in June to compete in the World Barista Championships.

Other Britons traveling to Italy include Tasters Cup Champion Jason Gonzalez of Colonna & Small’s, Latte Art Champion Dhan Bahadur Tamang of Caracoli Coffee House, Brewers Cup Champion Sebastian Stephenson of Colonna & Small’s, and Ibrik/Cezvre Champion Vadym Granovskiy.
