Summer vacation may be over, but we can all agree that nothing says family fun like a giant coffee facility.

South Korea’s Gangwon Province and specialty coffee brand Tom N Toms have reached a deal to begin development of a nearly $100 million (USD) coffee-themed resort park and production headquarters.

According to numerous local sources, including Sport Features Communications and Korea Bizwire, the resort, coffee museum and production facility will fit within a 64-acre site in the Southern Chuncheon industrial complex. Chuncheon has been experiencing rapid growth since the International Olympic Committee announced that nearby PyeongChang will host the 2018 Winter Olympics. The coffee theme park and resort will be joined in the complex by a forthcoming Legoland museum sometime in 2017.

Tom N Toms has more than 400 retail locations in South Korea, with other shops in Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand and Los Angeles.

While this park might have been low on my destinations list by itself, I sure hope that it is open in time for the 2018 Olympics, I’d love to visit while already in S. Korea! I will be watching for updates.
