Portland, Oregon-based nonprofit Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) is adding to its “Private Collection” auction (PCA) portfolio with the forthcoming Super Mujeres Nicaragua auction, which will showcase only high-quality coffees that were grown by women.

The auction program is in partnership with the Nicaragua’s National Commission for the Transformation and Development of Coffee Farming (CONATRADEC). The online auction will take place June 23, and ACE just started shipping samples to buyers

“Working on this project has been a highlight of this year so far, ACE Auction Manager Kathia Lopez Rosa said in an announcement of the new program. “We are committed to the equality of the genders in this industry and believe that this auction will impact the life of the female producers in Nicaragua. We can’t wait to see the auction results of these amazing coffees.”

ACE, which is a sibling nonprofit to the long-running Cup of Excellence green coffee competition, has not yet released details on all the auction coffees, However, all coffees promise to come from some of the country’s more than 14,000 female farmers.
