You can’t quite call it a grand opening.
Dolcezza, a Washington D.C.-area gelato and sorbet company that pays equal attention to its coffee program, last week opened the doors to its newest facility, a stunning 4,000-square-foot production headquarters, gelatoria and coffee bar. Then the doors closed, as the owners decided to push back actual retail operations until Spring.
When it opens for real, the new facility near Union Market at 550 Penn Street NE, it will be Dolcezza’s fifth storefront and by far its largest. Dolcezza is currently carrying coffees from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and the new space will have a large pour over bar, as well as espresso drinks. Here’s a look at what’s to come.
