Single Cups, Single Groups, Many Choices in Commercial Brewing and Espresso in 2024

Coffee equipment manufacturers pushed the boundaries of innovation in espresso and cold brewing throughout 2024, but the year also saw a significant surge in new brands and machines seeking to automate pourovers.

At least five companies introduced commercial single-cup brewers this year, while several big names also threw their R&D weight behind single-group espresso machines for light commercial or high-end home use.
