Agora Coffee Merchants Strikes North America Deal with Brazilian Producer Ipanema

Ipanema Agora Coffee

New Jersey-based green coffee importer Agora Coffee Merchants has reached a sales and marketing deal with Brazilian producer organization Ipanema Coffees.

According to Agora, which is based in Red Bank with warehouse offerings on both United States coasts, the company will become the exclusive sales and marketing agency for Ipanema Coffees in the North American market.

The financial terms of the deal were not made public.

Founded in 1969, Ipanema has maintained a steady supply of both conventional and specialty coffees to international markets, expanding since its inception to three main farms — Conquista, Rio Verde and Capoeirinha — that cover some 5,700 hectares combined.

Hmmm my evening cup was a Rio Verde Natural Process from Ipanema VERY interesting coffee.

I suppose after this my current supplier will no longer be able to access this for me. Sigh.

The piece did not say WHERE (as in what warehouse) on the West Coast these coffees will be staged.
